KVS believes in imparting knowledge/value and nurturing the talent, enthusiasm and creativity of its students to achieve excellence through high quality educational endeavours.
Objective
- The organization is established to cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defense and Para-Military personnel by providing a common program of education.
- To determine the pace of student learning of excellence in school education.
- To initiate and promote experimentation and innovation in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.
- To develop a sense of national integration and to inculcate a sense of “Indianness” among childrenTo provide, establish, grant, maintain, control and promote schools to be called ‘Kendriya Vidyalayas’ for children of other classes including transferable employees of the Government of India, mobile population and people living in remote and underdeveloped places of the country. to manage. Salient Features of Kendriya Vidyalayas
- Common text-books for all Kendriya Vidyalayas and bilingual medium of instruction.
- All Kendriya Vidyalayas are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.
- All Kendriya Vidyalayas are co-educational, composite schools.
- Sanskrit is taught from class VI to VIII.
- The quality of teaching is kept reasonably high by suitable teacher-pupil ratio.
- No tuition fee for boys up to class VIII, girls up to class XII and SC/ST students and children of KVS employees
