Optimize Your Financial Transactions: A Comprehensive Guide for Distribution Officers in Rajasthan | ShalaSaral

Important Information for Distribution Officers

1. Transition to Online Application for GPF and State Insurance Loans

The role of the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) for GPF and State Insurance loans has ended. Employees can now apply directly on the SIPF portal, and the loan amount will be deposited directly into their accounts.

2. Mandatory Deductions for Rajasthan Insurance Scheme

All employees are required to undergo two slabs of additional deductions for the Rajasthan Insurance Scheme. Completing this process in March from the salary bill is advantageous, as it increases the insurance amount. Remember, this scheme is exclusive to Rajasthan and bonus insurance is based on the deposited amount, not the accumulated sum.

3. Benefits of GPF Scheme

Consider making desired deductions in the GPF scheme, as it offers interest rates higher than Fixed Deposits, with compound interest rates. The interest received monthly adds to the principal for the next month.

4. Timely Submission for Pension Cases

Employees planning retirement should submit pension cases online six months before retirement. The role of DDO in pension cases has concluded. Employees can send their pension case online using their SSO ID for a timely and smooth process.

5. Annual Verification of Service Record

It’s crucial for every employee to annually verify their service record in their service book. Ensure that the pension and family pension page is well-maintained for future reference.

6. Nomination Update

Employees must update their nomination details, including bank information and canceled check, on the GPO portal using their SSO ID for both GPF and SIPF.

7. Monitoring GPF and Insurance Entries

Employees can check GPF and insurance entries from 2012 onwards on the SIPF portal. Ensure to update the nominee details and upload bank information and canceled checks for both GPF and SIPF on the portal.

8. Future Salary Bill Process

Starting from the next fiscal year, the salary bill will be generated using IFMS 3.0. Monthly income tax deductions will be automated based on slabs.
